Lyntha Posted December 9, 2011 Share Posted December 9, 2011 That's like the biggest negative and wrong misconception ever. To play Arcane well is a whole different rotation than other classes. The mana management is like another resource mechanic as it actually MATTERS. Yes, you spam Arcane Blast during a burn phase but that's only about 25% of the time. Lyntha Posted December 11, 2011 Share Posted December 11, 2011 Nah, now that they changed Vengeance, it's kind of hard to pull aggro unless the tank gets a really bad miss streak coupled with an avoidance streak. Im at almost full vengeance on the first hit I take. (If not full, depending on how hard the boss hits). He's found new and creative ways to die, however. There is still a difference between a good arcane mage and a bad one. Keeping mana at ~90%+ in conserve is not quite simple - especially with +int procs. Also to be good at arcane, you have to know fights to time burst and not waste. I don't think it's massively more easy than a lot of other specs (at least to play "average"). That arcane mage was between 20% and 50% mana for almost the whole time and still finished like 5th. on DPS. Am I missing something or is he a baddie with great gear?
