  1. Thought I'd post this here as a reminder:

    (25) March 30th - I may wind up missing the raid start time depending on how late mass runs. Otherwise, I'll be on just as the pulls begin. (Rebel has been previously notified. Will try to text him if I'm late.)

    (10) April 1st - I can't make the Helmet run that night. I'm getting up the following day around 4:30am (AST), so I'll have to pug it that week. (Wili has been previously notified.)

    Cheers!

  2. Since I don't think our new Proxy members can view the Raiders forum, I'm posting this here. I'm trying to find out what the other groups use as their healing set for the portals. While we were successful last night, up until the first portal phase, I was extremely worried about mana. I actually went oom. I wasn't using my usual resto set and geared more for raw output, thus using primarily most of my elemental set.

I actually went oom before the first portal and was on the verge of popping Mana Tide just to make it. Is there any other resto shaman that's done it? How have they done it?

I don't remember my exact stats, but I suspect 3400+ sp, 1100+ haste, 34%+ crit, and 414mp5 while NOT casting. My normal set is much more balanced, but I'm wondering if I should swap in a touch more mp5, or just wing it. Up until the first portal, I'm gassed, but after that, the mana issues are gone. The last (and successful) attempt was 16k HPS with a peak of 19k HPS during BL. I got screwed with a lot of running around.

    Thoughts/suggestions? Thanks!

  3. While the listing looks good, it looks like you have too many people on that roster:

    You have mentioned the following:

    Tanks: Darachai, Prydain, Rizel

Healers: Kieta, Polished, Virage, Ruffpally, Pemmican, Unuyazi

DPS: Yacoub, Rebelogic, Finallegend, Teapee, Bloodbolt, Itachi, Overcast, Honeymoomoo, Darkhuntar, FDragon, Wilistari, Perenelle, Loggs, Unholyfaith, Melodian, Berms, Kwicked

    Tanks - 3

    Healers - 6

    DPS - 17

    Total - 27

Looks like we have too much. This excludes Dambala and any other names.

  4. Just finished reading it all, and I thought I'd point out your typo:

"At first we were worried that his gear might need some help before he came into our core run, but he has proved once again that it is gear score, not skill score."

You're effectively saying that gear matters more than skill. Early morning updates may not be your fort

  5. Rebel - You might want to make a mention that there's some ladies in the guild. It's not a 100% sausagefest.

Bash - Are you crazy? I appreciate the vote of confidence, but I don't want to be an officer. I don't envy you guys. I notice some of the stuff you guys do. I appreciate it, but I sure as hell don't want to be an officer. I'm quite happy being a face in the crowd.

I read this recently, and think it's apt:

  6. Ya, I feel i need to apologize for myself aswell, I took the officer postion even though I was fully aware that my job IRL comes first, i am also aware that since the guild has been created i have been in Iraq, Republic of Georgia, and now Haiti, but these days of me leaving for long periods of time are coming to an end, just to inform you all this will be my last deployment for close to 2-3 years, I will be around more often once I return from Haiti in a few weeks.

You better be sorry! How dare you put the interests of your country before those of Azeroth! What has your country done for you lately? :P

  7. Perhaps the raid comp need to be better adjusted as well. I hate to ask people to play specs that they don't like, but if there were even two people willing to take turns each week juggling between their prefered and hated specs, then we might be able to get a bit better performance.

Even then, that's a bit extreme. We shouldn't have to be doing that. We're not going for hardmodes yet.

  8. Any new news on this? Wednesdays are and will probably forever be a horrible night for me to raid so ICC25 alt runs would be lovely!

What nights and times work for you? I believe there are other guilds at a similar level to ours who may be in need of a regular. Otherwise, there may be hope in good pug runs or other guilds' alt runs.

  9. Why don't we ever talk about this in game? Anyways... Numbers time:

    Health (25man) - 40,440,000

    Enrage Timer - 300secs (5mins)

    Assumptions - 2 tanks / 6 healers

    Raid dps required for 300s - 134,800

    Average per dps - 7,929.41

    True average - 7,694.12*

    True average assuming 18dps - 7,266.67* (IE: 5 healers)

    Raid dps required for 285s - 141,894.74

    Average per dps - 8,346.75

    True average - 8,111.45*

    True average assuming 18dps - 7,660.82* (IE: 5 healers)

True average assumes the 2 tanks can maintain an average of 2,000dps for the duration of the fight. Healers... Well, they heal.

Just wondering if we're going about it the wrong way? Are we punishing ourselves by having too many healers in this fight? If our tanks actually do far more than 2k, then it's just icing on the cake. If the tanks can put out 3k dps, then the required average from 17dps for the above 2 time frames comes down to 7,576.47 and 7,993.81 respectively.

  10. I'm just wondering if Patch even has enough health to survive long enough for us to test him out properly. I wouldn't be too kean on going into a city and having a raid sitting around at a target dummy trying to test our dps. Loatheb without spores could be another decent spot. Too bad, we have to dance first to get there...

I can't think off the top of my head of any other out of the way targets with the kind of health to test out a raid's dps.
