  1. The guide is now revised. Added class guides and boss specific class guides to the IcyVeins Section. Clarified the wording of some sections of the SimulationCraft guide to make them easier to understand. Added a seciton called "Using SimulationCraft with Ask Mr. Robot", including manual entry instructions, due to popular demand. I have attached a proof of concept for the use of SimulationCraft and Ask Mr. Robot in tandem. Explanation of files: 20140706 - 250k Iteration - Patchwerk - Initial Basic 250k sim of my default setup to determine scale factors. Result: 429,274 DPS 20140706 - 250k Iteration - Parchwerk - AMR Changes Recommended changes in AMR. 20140706 - 250k Iteration - Patchwerk - Revised Second 250k sim after the AMR recommendations were completed. Result: 430,279 DPS 20140706 - 250k Iteration - Parchwerk - AMR Confirmation Current setup in AMR, used for confirmation of changes with scale factors from second simulation. I would like to thank those who provided feedback to improve this guide. Please take some time to advertise this guide to your fellow guildies to ensure that anyone who would benefit from this information is aware of its existence. 20140706 - 250k Iteration - Patchwerk - Initial.html 20140706 - 250k Iteration - Patchwerk - AMR Changes.pdf 20140706 - 250k Iteration - Patchwerk - Revised.html 20140706 - 250k Iteration - Patchwerk - AMR Confirmation.pdf
  2. You should note that there are links to fluiddruid.net in the IcyVeins Feral guide. It is information such as this that will provide a player with the opportunity for a more advanced study, if they choose to do so. An example of this is the Feral advanced rotation located at: http://www.simulationcraft.org/reports/Raid_T16H.html#player5 You must understand that there are some people in this guild that have no knowledge of these resources (or theorycrafting in general). In short, is this guide is intended to provide: the middle of the pack with some new sources of information and the lower end of the spectrum with the baseline resoucres necessary to fix any major shortcomings. Consider that before you post toxic comments in a thread.
  3. You and I do. I suspect that most don't. The primary goal of this effort is to get people to start digging into their class, learn the underlying science and produce an increase to personal performance. This isn't like raiding Sunwell; where people ported out to respec for individual fights. What does a tome cost, 45 silver? It is way different than the 20 minutes and 50 gold that it used to cost.
  4. There can be SimCraft for healing: use it to establish a baseline. Want to see how your output changes with a regem? Plug your character into AMR and then import it into SimCraft. You can save a ton of money by running these processes before implementation. If we have a raid setup of 2 tanks, 5-6 healers and 17-18 DPS; fixing DPS issues will give you the most bang for your buck in an audit such as this. DPS is basically where the most obvious, fixable issues lie at the moment. None of this diminishes the importance of healer / tank improvement. Honestly, I would like to see everyone walk away from this with something that they can use to improve themselves. A measure of success thusfar is Muln's indication that he would look at changing talents for individual fights. It could also assist leadership by giving them new tools to evaluate player performance (not to mention most of these things are great for the prequalification of applicants to the guild). Yeah I didnt see anything about bleed strength and when to over write a bleed or even the best ways for tracking it....pfft terrible feral druid guide IMO Uh, oh. Looks like someone wasn't looking very hard for the information. 11. use this rotation and see how it works. the weights on AMR are historically wrong. i experienced a 4k dps loss in my current setup using their formulas. https://code.google.com/p/simulationcraft/source/browse/trunk/profiles/Tier16N/Mage_Frost_T16N.simc
  12. We are looking at running the 10man two days per week. Pick the days that you can attend. Votes are public for this poll and votes from non-raiders will be filtered. This poll will be open until Wednesday evening, at the close of raid. Get them votes in here fellas!
  13. Donating to the guild is not mandatory. However, raiders must understand that it does cost a lot of gold to keep the raid team stocked with flasks, potions and feasts. If anyone would like to farm some mats for the guild, it would be greatly appreciated. 17. Strategy guide: https://www.icy-veins.com/thok-the-bloodthirsty-detailed-strategy-wow Icy Veins Video Fatboss Video Lessons learned: Cycle healing / defensive CD's during phase 1 to maximize uptime on the boss. Individuals appear to not be targeted by fixate when in melee range. Being anywhere in front of the boss during phase 2, even at an angle, is fatal. Some success was achieved by kiting the boss down the corridor in phase 2; but it came at the expense of ranged uptime on the boss. Additional attempts on the boss indicated that use of the corridor hampered progress. What the raid group needs to do is kite the boss between two known points in the main (circular) room. We set up points at what would be 6 and 12 and had the ranged hover and DPS the boss. The difference between A and B, strategy wise, was about 20% more damage done to the boss. Our best attempt before the change was 35%. . .our next attempt was 17%. When do we pop lust? Start of the fight
  18. Strategy guide: https://www.icy-veins.com/spoils-of-pandaria-detailed-strategy-wow Icy Veins Video Fatboss Video < Lessons learned: Have the two groups break out into their own TS channels. Only open one Pandaren crate at a time, as the abilities can overlap into a really bad combination. Maximize AOE. When do we pop lust? Each group will be responsible for their own BL/TW, as the groups are far enough apare to not benefit from each other's. The best option is to pop it in the Mogu room; right after the massive crate is opened.
  19. Strategy guide: https://www.icy-veins.com/malkorok-detailed-strategy-wow Icy Veins Video Fatboss Video Lessons learned: During the Breath of Y'Sharrj, the raid stacks behind the tanks in a straight line. If the group stacks too close to the tanks, they run the risk of a tank death via the mechanic that knocks raid members up in the air. When do we pop lust? Start of the fight
  20. ALCON: The 10 Man for Friday was cancelled. Saturday was pulled off the schedule for this week. Sunday will be the next scheduled 10 Man. Please refer to your guild calendars for more information.

Subforum for the RBG team and its hopefuls in the PVP section. Purge any topics that haven't been posted in for over 90 days (or whatever interval). Maybe move the old threads to a visible archive forum??? Do you think an autoprune would be useful for the forums? http://www.atremains.com/forums/forum/9-raid-attendance/ - the sticky hasn't been updated since 2011. This is in the Raid Attendance subforum. http://www.atremains.com/forums/topic/2244-dkp-system-rules/ - should be updated, moved to dungeons and raids and stickied. . .a lot of the rules are out of date. maybe a sticky for the 10man raid in dungeons and raids to serve as a single source for that raid team. there should be a pinned topic in the dungeons and raids forum for new members (maybe - "New to the raid team" or something like that) which serves as a single source of information to get people on the ball. it could include required addons, the TS info, officer list and specialized duties (such as held's role in the 10man). think of it as an orientation and add stuff to it that would be context appropriate. new subforum in dungeons in raids called "boss strategies" where someone will post individual topics to the individual strats / videos for all current bosses (normal mode only atm). this will help facilitate the discussion of raid strats and will increase awareness and hopefully reduce the learning curve for certain fights.

We don't have a ton of people in this guild, what if the following: Get rid of the class forums. Get rid of the theorycrafting forum. Have the new home for them be located in the class roles forum. There aren't enough people who post on this site to warrant a lot of these forums. The Warrior subforum hasn't been posted in since 2010, for example. Actually, the whole forum structure could benefit from a good pruning. . . Another thing worthwhile would be to have a current officer repost the guild rules and expectations / recruiting process because the current OP is listed as Friends / Family. Delete the 2011 thread (it is pinned) for the attendance spreadsheet. Get rid of the 2012 World of Logs thread (another pinned one). I can keep going, but I don't want to kill you with a to do list.
