    High Tickrate Servers for BF4 have arrived!

    Overall the tickrate feels great. I have experienced issues also when someone is streaming Netflix or other media while I'm playing. A situation arose last night where I had to watch a niece and nephew. They were both watching YouTube videos and 100% of my shots would not register. So with the increased bandwidth requirements with the higher tickrate, just make sure BF4 and TS are the only thing connected.

    I am the banning admin. Your chat is toxic and you have been banned a few times already. I see that you corrected yourself, but players still could have thought you were an admin and didn't want them thinking that's how our admins convey themselves.     Another EA Title Fuck Up, This Time Battlefront

    Star Wars Battlefront: a game we all have been waiting for quite some time. Every new article we hear about how the game is shaping up just ruins all hope we have for this game, be it hardcore Star Wars fans or just the average gamer who is interested with the continuing franchise.

     

    From the news that there will not be space battles, then no single player campaign, to now the possibility of not having a server browser or rented admin controlled servers are making many gamers less enthralled in this upcoming title.

     

    Most of us were squealing with joy when we heard that the Battlefront franchise will be growing with new experiences and a long awaited graphical upgrade. In came the news that EA/DICE were the ones behind this release and we all started to get worried.

     

    Has EA/DICE not learned from past releases, mainly BF3, BF4, and Hardline, that not listening to the gamer community will end up with a failing game? Will Battlefront become the next Hardline? What can we do as gamers? Our best chance will be with social media and the upcoming open beta coming this October.

     

    I have not given up entirely on this game and will ultimately will end up purchasing it. Those of you that are still with me, please join me this October and let EA/DICE know that they will have to give the gaming community our voice and that the "fuck you, we do what we want!" cannot continue if they want to continue making games.

    8/30 Battlefield Meeting and Event

    Just so everyone knows the event and meeting are still on. Meeting @ 8pm EST and event @ 9pm EST. The map will be Operation Firestorm 2014. Any bolt-action rifle with any scope. Since this is an unranked event, you will not have all attachment options. For long range you will only have the 8x and 40x scopes. NO RANGE FINDERS ALLOWED! We will be shooting from the crane near Alpha and the targets will be placed on the big tower near Charlie. The range from this point is around 395-400 meters. You can take as many shots as needed and will be timed. The winner will be the fewest shots and quickest time. Please cooperate when calling upon for your turn and needed help!

    8/30 Battlefield Meeting and Event

    We would need to find one sniper rifle and attachments for all of us to use. Otherwise we will have most people use the SR338 which is semi-auto and deals enough damage to set off explosives at most ranges. Since it will be Unranked we can unlock all weapons. Might want to put a poll on this thread, but I vote 338-RECON, SRR-61, or GOL Magnum with 6x scope. We could even go crazy and require a 1x red dot scope!

    Didn't the 960 and 970 have a know issue with overheating? Might want to check it out. Also make sure you have EVGA Precision X or something similar. By default most nVidia card fans won't kick in until 70c. You can adjust you fan curves to keep everything nice and cool.

    We currently have a pistols only hardcore server. We would have to make it no explosives if the locker server would be hardcore, which is something we could consider. 100 ping limit is too low to get a server going. Our ping limit is set at 160, just the point where players can exploit it or start lagging.

    ATR Gamers Gun Master Community Event 6/6/15

    WELCOME FELLOW GAMERS!

     

     
    ATR Gamers is hosting a Battlefield 4 Gun Master event that is open to the public. Anyone interested is free to join us on June 6th at 8:00pm EST. We will have up to eight Battlefield 4 servers available to accommodate players and will be giving away prizes. All prizes will be in the form of gift cards from Steam, Origin, uPlay, or Newegg. Players are encouraged to stick around before and after the event to meet the crew! All players that attend the event must abide by our rules and standards to be eligible for prizes and are stated below.
     

    EVENT

     
    The event will take place on ATR Gamers Battlefield 4 servers and TeamSpeak on June 6th at 8:00pm EST. We will have up to 256 slots available on our Battlefield 4 servers and 512 slots available in TeamSpeak. The event will start promptly at 8:00pm EST and run until three winners have emerged over multiple rounds. The game mode for each server needed will be set to Gun Master, the preset will be set to Standard, and players will be set to 32. The event will be elimination style competing and the top six players from each round/server will advance to the next round. This process will repeat until only one round/server is filled with top players from the previous rounds and will be the final round. The top three players from the last round will be declared winners.

    Search for ATR Gamers in your server browser to find all of our servers. On June 6th, server names will include "Community Event" for any servers needed to accommodate all players. Be sure to favorite our servers!
     

     

    TEAMSPEAK

    Players are encouraged to join us in TeamSpeak before, during, and after the event. We will have many channels for you interact in with the public players and ATR Gamers members. Please use your in-game name when joining us to help with identification and for any contact purposes .     RULES AND GUIDELINES

    • No Hacking/Cheating
    • No intolerant language, such as racist or homophobic slurs, is allowed on our game servers or TeamSpeak
    • Respect all players and ATR Gamer admins
    • Player pings must not exceed 160ms, and will be kicked if they do. Most players in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Western Europe should be within this limit; check our servers before the event to ensure you qualify!

     

    WINNERS

     
    Winners will be screened for any broken rules after the event and will be listed here. In the event that a winner has broken above rules, prize will be given to the next ranked player of the event. Winners will be contacted by an ATR Gamer council member and will have 72 hours to claim your prize in the form of their choice. Any unclaimed prizes will be forfeited and given to the next ranked player of the event. If no winners claim the prizes, equal cash value will be donated to charity.
