    Al Akir

I've only ever done it once, but we had a dps tank the charges (kitty in kitty form) and had the tank on the boss calling out when the debuff on the boss reached a certain amount of time left. The dps would have one of the charges marked for the dps to swap to and blow up. P3 depends on the group and how you handle the 3D space. Either start at the very top or work your way up from the very bottom. We had a rogue, so we set up behind him. I don't recall if he turns around in P3 or if the tank was with us as well.
  2. Note: There are exceptions to the above guide. When in doubt, follow the above guide. *cough*Ascendant Council*cough*

    Atramedes down!

If you can down Council, Chogall is a pushover. Screw Alakir. Only do it if you need the valor points or for the sake of "progression".

    Atramedes down!

Another one bites the dust! Where to next? (What happened to the shoutbox?)
  5. There isn't much raiding going on. I'm pretty sure I have a full set of gear for Herald of the Titans. (Might have to purchase a couple of pieces. Set is primarily for resto, I think.) I could be convinced for either raid. Day/Time permitting of course.
  6. Ignore Boredman. He likes trying to punk others, but the raid punks him.
  7. That was a fun shot. White Chicken!
  8. After this long post, the next one should be "Rebel's Logic Post 14".
  9. Pio used to run something during Ulduar like that. (I think it was Pio.) I remember doing that back in the MC days. To be fair, I gamed the system badly. I wasn't core, but I was always on. I accrued a huge amount of dkp over time. (We got full dkp like those inside.) If they asked if I wanted to come in, I'd either play afk or just tell them someone else could step in. I never won anything and moved on to be a strict pvper for a while. Just letting you know that's how I cheated it. (I wasn't alone in that scheme either.)
  10. Just because something is a bigger upgrade from someone, doesn't make it always the best choice to give it to them. We used to do Loot Council, but eventually moved away from it in the interest of saving time and less hassle. I'm sure someone can find a way to game most systems. We used to have people not pushing for a moderate upgrade and instead winging it with what they had until a BiS dropped and since they were the most disadvantaged, then it went to them. DKP at least reflects the time investment people have put in. For the things I most want, I'll bid large. The rest, I scale my bidding depending on how much of an improvement it is for me. If someone wants to go all in to win something, then that's their call. They'll eventually not have enough to buy something when it really matters. If I lose out on something that I really want, the only person I can get annoyed with is myself for not bidding enough. If they had more in the bank, then I never had a chance anyway.
  11. The only thing that's not clear is whether one of them was a fresh recruit. In which case, they get a lower priority. It happens in Group 1. Some of the fresh recruits get skipped during the bidding for people who have been there longer. If it goes to OS, then they roll. It's then up to the winner as to whether to pass. I play Devil's Advocate for both sides.
  12. Warlock probably should've gotten it. Unless he was a fresh recruit vs a more established raider. I think there is/was a rule where in that case the Lock's main spec would have to compete against the holy pally's offspec. Then again, I'm probably thinking of TGF's loot rules. Don't worry too much. Shit happens. I (mail user) won a cloth belt over clothies and the druids didn't realize they could bid as well. Learning experience for all.
  13. Thought I'd give the heads up in case I'm little late tonight. I should be able to log in on time, but won't be ready until a little later. Taking mom grocery shopping (5% off on Wednesdays) since she can't drive for another 4-6 weeks (broken hand). So after that, I'll have to cook for the four of us and help my dad (broken ankle).
  14. I'll be late tonight. I should be online in time, but won't be remotely ready to raid until probably 8pm or so. Do what you think it best.
  15. Just post the write up. Tankspot's definitely blocked.
  16. Technically the guild's done more than 9/12 HMs. You seem to forget that Deathbarrage/Informant have their drakes. I've got Putricide, but no Council. Is there a simple strat that we can read up, or get posted for Halion? (Can't view vids and many other sites from work.) If we're short enough ppl, we may as well try to merge as many ppl as possible from both groups and just blow through the first 11 as quickly as possible.
  17. Looks like I have to respec. With the HMs unlocked, I'll probably be healing almost all of them. Time to respec back to pve resto.
  18. I need 2 more HMs and then just go back for the normal kills for my drake.
  19. Might want to stretch out that kill as long as possible then.
  20. That's ok. We'll show off our shiny Uld 25 drakes to you when you get back.
  21. So you don't want WoW calls on your employer's phone. Gotcha. Makes sense. That's why I listed Rebel's work number as mine.
  22. Besides Lootship, any thoughts as to which bosses will be done on HM? Or are we spending the first week giving 1-2 tries each before quickly going back to normal? Is there any plan for Group 1 to possibly go back to 2 nights a week? I'd like to get back into some 10mans so long as they're not on Mondays. I'd rather give up a Sunday evening and a Thursday if G1-25 goes back to 2 days. If not, then I'm fine with a long Sunday session (so long as the group can reach LK and get good attempts/success). Otherwise, with the expansion possibly winding down in the coming months, any plans on getting a drake group going for ICC/Uld? (Sunday's kinda my "chage of pace" day.)
