  1. I have come to the difficult decision to leave the ATR guild on my priest. This is a very difficult decision that I did not come to lightly. It has become increasingly more difficult to enjoy playing the game, and in lieu of quitting altogether I am going to shake things up a bit to see if I can find enjoyment again.

This is not a goodbye, I love the people in ATR and I cherish the friendships I have developed greatly. I will still be around on TS, I will still be playing Overwatch, and I will still have most of my alts left in the guild. Contacting me will be a little more difficult than typing /g. For those of you who don't have me on battlenet, add me FTFK#1802. My fbook is https://www.facebook.com/derek.karl

Thanks for all the great memories,

    Derek

  2. Spots will be tight until nighthold comes out for anyone lagging behind gear wise. When we switch back to heroic raiding, I have no problems giving him a spot, he can even cross realm if he wants to see if we are good fit for him.

  3. We have 2 range in our raid team that can crack the top 14 dps. With range struggling with dps, mechanics, not wanting to raid mythic, or attendance, we need to recruit more range or have our current range roster step up. Bash and I were telling everyone for months leading up to expansion that we needed people to go range and that we needed hunters.

Additionally, we had 21 people in raid on Thursday, 5 of which who were healers, and 2 dps of which had 0 mythic nythendra experience.

I was disappointed we didn't do Nythendra as well. Coming from WoD, we burned a lot of our raid team out by repeatedly pushing content with a sub-optimal group. Basically it comes down to us burning people out by wiping without making progress or burning people out by not raiding at all.

  4. Sam is one of my oldest friends and a very solid player. He was a solid blood tank in MoP, but since we already have one really good tank with CM weapons and one decent one I suggested he look into playing dps.

I'd also suggest that he could be a candidate to gear up as a off tank for nights where Qwar or Bash have to be MIA. This will be easier to do with the removal of bonus armor as a stat and actually enjoys tanking unlike our past backup tanks.

  5. We could potentially remove 7 off that list since I am pretty sure they are not raiding with us

    Booty

    Phyte and Skrv

    Mokou - probably

    kayzo

    Busta (budlyght)

Tych - is he planning to raid again

List of Gear Breakdowns by type(non tier and accessory), by Token(tier), and By Relic type (weapons). For relic breakdown I used whatever spec I have heard you say most recently or last known raiding spec.

For non tier, there is not much competition for mail or plate.

    For tier, Conq remains fucked.

For relics Shadow, Frost, Fel, and Life are pretty saturated. Arcane and fire have no one.

For those who are still undecided, we could really use: All hunter types, Dps shamans, or any druid types.

For people who like to play whatever is currently the most OP, here are the most current logs from Nighthold

  6. I will be traveling for work. I'll be having to share a car with a co worker so my flexibility to get back to hotel before 730 will be not be likely.

  7. I think everyone is on the same page? We know we have people that fail mechanics, everyone is overly aware of who they are, and we want to have a bench to sub people out so we can continue to progress. A few thoughts

1.)We had a few things working against us this week, Buds hunter got locked out due to server transfer and mort was sorta unable to raid. Next week we will have 2 more people that we will be able to maneuver around to field the best team we can put together.

2.)Quitting only makes things worse, since that is another DPS spot that we will have to gear up/recruit. Pretty much adds to our identified problem

3.) 125 stat food hardly matters, unless you are a panda. I mean we just got a +10 ilvl buff for those who care to farm it, that puts us in a way better position than most guilds who cleared this content at 710-715ish ilvl.

4.) We are raiding Mythic only because we have cleared heroic, we have the numbers, and we still have a lot of people who seem interested in raiding and pushing new content

To be honest we don't have a whole lot of "mythic" raiders in our raid team, and a lot more think they are more elite than they really are. Talking to mythic raiders, they put a lot of time and effort into learning the intricacies of their class, researching strats, and evaluating their own play to figure out how to eek a little more performance out of their gear. We have some people who do some of this, but very few who can say they do all these things. Elite players change spec/talents to optimize to the encounter and their role (range/tank/healer/melee). Its not just all about memorize a rotation and stick to that, you need to make split second decisions every second based off what the encounter is providing. You need to know spells to use while moving, what abilities you can use to drop debuffs, or use as DR to avoid fatal damage.
