  1. From my post on the realm forums (http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/3881715027)

Friday the 20th@8PM, I will be doing a FL 25m. Cinders and Essences are reserved. Know all the fights and don't come in with blues. If people are slacking they will replaced. All loot including BoE's will be MS>OS, Living Embers (crafting material) will be rolled for if you want it.

Post here or whisper/mail me in-game to get a calendar invite. If this run goes well I will repeat it every Friday, however if too many people are failing to mechanics it will get downsized to 10m to finish the run.

  2. I say they are fun in comparison to the other bosses in Dragon Soul. Hagara is lacking an extra mechanics for the regular phase and a sub 35% phase. Blackhorn I would say is the best fight done. You have 2 phases, on the first one each role has something to do. Tanks have to make sure to rotate adds for every wave. Healers have to make sure to keep the raid stable and rotate cds for the Onslaught, and the DPS has to focus on sappers while making sure to kill the drakes & vyrkul-dudes in a timely manner. All while everyone is making sure to avoid the charge & standing on the barrage. And you still have another phase to go.

LFR is fine as it is, I love gearing my alts there and not spending a lot of time wiping. But the problem is that it 'decided' how to the other difficulty levels were going to be designed, and that's a huge design fail. Like I said in my previous post, DW fights are pretty bland when you compare them to the previous tier end-bosses. Spine should have been similar in design to Nef/Alakir/Chog/Rag, while Madness to Sinestra. That's not saying it should be as hard, but comparing them when it comes to mechanics and about same amout of effort. When you are Raid Leading Madness how much stuff do you actually have to organize compared to Nef? Just where people are going to stack on the last platform and when you are lusting. And I'm hoping T14 won't be decided by LFR again otherwise encounters are going to be pretty bland.

  3. I feel that Dragon Soul boss fight design was really lackluster for the majority of them. Only fights I found well done were Blackhorn, Yorsahj, Hagara, Ultaxion. I think LFR affected the normals and heroics in a very negative way. Look at Madness for example and compare it to Ragnaros, on H Ragnaros had an extra phase while H-Madness just has extra adds for each platform.

A lot of the fights seemed 2-phased and made them very boring, especially if they are really long (madness). This tier is definitely not my favorite. Regarding only having 8 bosses it sucks big time. Having ~12 bosses make the progression curve a lot smoother and gearing a lot better.

  4. You misunderstood it Mastric. This run that I'm putting together is for when 4.3 goes live. What I said about PTR is how to "smooth" the run goes, because people are always leaving after a wipe/kill and so you would spend a lot of time waiting then explaining and such every time you have to pull a boss.

I edited the original post to avoid further confusion.

  5. I'm going to try and put a LFR consisting of just guildies, considering our total raiding roster consists of at least 50 people.

The date for this to happen is on Thursday at 8pm to 11pm the week when 4.3 goes live, it should not be too difficult to do a full clear in 3 hours.

Benefits of coming to this one instead of doing it on your own:

-Loot will go to guildies and not random guy in pvp gear on another server. It will help the guild as a whole.

-Everyone is going to be in vent and I'll be explaining the fight and strats, calling raid cds, etc.

-On the PTR, a couple of people leave after each wipe and boss kill. This will cut all that downtime by A LOT.

However, you have to remember that you are allowed to roll on loot only on the FIRST KILL of the week. For example, you test out the fights on Tuesday when its fresh and you kill Morchock but you did not win any loot. You then come to the Thursday guild run, once we kill Morchock you will automatically pass on every loot even though you did not win anything on Tuesday.

Therefore, should you want to test out the fight on Tuesday I recommend going on an alt and save your main for the guild run. I am not sure how many people I will get, hopefully a lot of people are interested and we have a good time.

  6. I almost have a consistent alt run for Dragon Soul that runs every Saturday. Just need to fill the last tank spot (warr/pally or druid as last resort) and dps spot (arcane mage>elemental shaman/balance druid/hunter).

To be part of the group your alt must be ~380 (items such as Chalice/Heart of Rage/DMC:V are fine), and at least 4pc t12 / 2pc t12+2pc t13 to make progression on alts less painful.

    Tanks

    *Dusktilldawn (Jlogg) - Blood DK

    *

    Healers

    *Anomic (Cannabi) - Resto Druid

    *Drisna (Kalik) - Resto Shaman

    *Aelanna (Wilistari) - Holy Paladin

    DPS

    *Siawnhy (Prydain) - Rogue

    *Cuddletrain - DK

    *Breachofdawn (Rebelogic) - Mage

    *Ulquiôrra - Warlock
