Q u o t e: My question though, with these nerfs to our Mage trees now will we be alright at level 85? And will we be alright levelling to 85? Because it was my understanding that we where balanced around lv 85 and levelling to 85. If we're nerfed now, would this not effect our performance for Cataclysm negatively? This is the largest patch we've released to date with a lot of very big systems and UI changes. We have a list of known issues in the bug forum and are keeping a close eye on additional reports of issues. I highly suggest anyone who is experiencing issues of a technical nature to please visit the Technical Support forums. You may find some answers there. I'd also like to suggest turning off your UI mods then turning them on one at a time to see if they may be affecting your performance or any issues you may be having. We are continuing to work on ironing out existing bugs and also have additional work we are doing on the game. This patch is by no means the end of things and while the waters may be a little choppy right now, things will get smoother as we go along. If you run into additional bugs that we don't have listed in the Bug forum (known issues), please feel free to report it so that we can track it down. While we obviously have been running the beta test for Cataclysm and had a PTR, live implementation can sometimes bring about additional surprises or issues that weren't seen in the test environment. Since the release of patch 4.0.1 yesterday, we’ve received reports from players that a few of their item enchantments are now missing. After further investigation into the cause and potential solutions, we’ve come to the unfortunate conclusion that we will not be able to restore these enchantments. Q u o t e: That's the 5000 gold new skill for those of us who didn't already have a 310 flyer. It upgrades Riding to 375 and lets (all) your flying mounts travel at 310. "Five thousand gold," you say, "but Palehoof, that's ridiculous!" To which I say, and I can't say it loudly enough, go to a faction vendor to buy this skill if you are buying it. I was a hair's breadth from paying 5000 gold for it before I flew to Warsong Hold and got it from a faction vendor for only 4000. Unfortunately when I mentioned this in gchat a couple friends asked me words to the effect of "where the hell were you an hour ago?" So folks, before you pay 5000 gold for Master, be sure one of your exalted factions doesn't sell it as well. Worth a grand to fly from Dalaran to Borean, eh? Thumbs up, my gnome-lovin' tauren friend. Q u o t e: Does anybody know if arena rating is going to be required to buy arena gear after the patch tonight? I'm assuming there won't be a new season starting until Cata comes out so I wasn't sure if until that time comes if gear would just be bought with honor/arena points or if you still need to gain rating with no chance of getting a title or anything. The arena gear that requires rating still requires it. With the season over your rating isn't visible, but the items will be purchasable with the new honor points based on where you were at the end of the season. View the full article
